Step Up Sign-Up Guide
Use this page to walk through the Step Up For Students process from choosing the right scholarship to contacting Lions Christian Academy after approval.
Choose the right scholarship
Most full-time private school families will start with the Private School Scholarship. Families with a qualifying diagnosis may also review Unique Abilities. PEP is generally for students who are not full-time private or public school students.
Gather documents before applying
Have parent information, student information, proof of Florida residency, birth or age documentation, current school information, and any special eligibility documents ready before starting.
Create or log into EMA
Go to Step Up For Students and choose Apply/Login. New families create an EMA account. Returning families should log into their existing EMA account.
Complete and submit the application
Fill out all requested parent and student information, upload required documents, review the application carefully, and submit it before the posted deadline.
Watch your email and EMA account
Step Up may request corrections or additional documents. Parents should check email and EMA often so the application can keep moving forward.
Notify Lions Christian Academy after approval
Once your student is awarded, contact Lions Christian Academy so the school can help with enrollment, tuition processing, and next steps.
